After ten years of investigating welfare fraud, I have heard every last excuse for refusing to look for employment. Job at fast food place only pays minimum wage and beneath you? Clients leaving State for months on end and using food stamps during travels. Disability for depression, anxiety, migraines? Yeah - me too. Working as a stay at home mom is an interesting phrase too because it is Making a choice to be a stay at home Mom. I have heard every lie possible to continue receiving benefits - you are caring for your parent - yet your parent lives in Texas or dead or in a nursing home. You charge day care to state while children in school. Yes, Im a Republican and I want to hear a few more welfare clients say they are trying to get a job. Stop the excuses. If I worked two jobs, drove a death trap car, never bought new clothes, never too vacations, didnt have cable, rented out my basement bedroom - just to survive - so can they.
