Im completely shell-shocked by the fury of nature! Just read an unfortunate news of yet another natural disaster...Heavy rains have triggered a landslide at Malin village in Ambegaon tehsil, near Bhimashankar in Pune district in Maharashtra...The boulders from the hill fell on and around 44 homes..Over 40 houses were buried...15 people are feared dead & over 160 are trapped under the debris..Heavy monsoon rains have lashed hills in the area the past few days, causing rocks and mud to loosen and tumble down..The rescue workers are struggling to cut through mud and rocks to reach the people, but heavy rains and a difficult terrain is hampering their efforts..Exact number of causalities is not known yet..what a nightmare!..Hopefully, theyll be able to rescue most of these villagers..My thoughts,prayers and deepest sympathies are with the families affected by this tragedy. :(
