After the Peshawar tragedy, I see rage, desperateness, revenge - TopicsExpress

After the Peshawar tragedy, I see rage, desperateness, revenge and on the slightly possitive side, unity. However, what I dont see at all is any humility, humbleness and introspection. It seems that we dont want to acknowledge how easily our lives can end and we will be brought in front of the aalim ul ghaib who will tell us our doings. We dont want to acknowledge that there is any chance that we will not get old and will not get that golden retirement after which we will devote ourselves to our faith. It can be Talibans, a distracted driver, a faulty plane or simply a heart attack. Yes, the cause is important for the ones left behind but for me, if i am the one dead, it doesnt matter what killed me. What matters is what deeds I will take with me. Lets take revenge, bomb their asses but also introspect. The children who died are in a better place but can we be sure about ourselves?
