After the Resurrection of Jesus, the disciples were still dealing with doubt, fear and confusion. Peter realized that even if Jesus was alive that he could not face the Savior because he denied he knew Jesus three times. In shame, guilt and personal disappointment.. Peter went back to doing what he knew best...fishing. For this man, fishing was his excuse and escape to bury his guilt and hide his pain. Over the next 40 days Jesus appeared to His followers to rally them again and strengthen their faith. And for Peter, Jesus restored him by asking him 3 times if Peter loved Him. Each time, Peter responded. Yes Lord and Jesus told him to feed His sheep. Peter was restored and Jesuss followers were reminded that He is with them always . Yes , Jesus is Alive ! There are times we make decisions that are disappointing and we find ourselves like Peter running away from where Christ Jesus wants us to be. Maybe today you need restoration in Jesus. Today is the day for repentance, forgiveness and a fresh start. For Peter, Jesus went to the Lake to meet him in his shame and guilt...as he fished. From the shore , Jesus called Peter and the others to Hinself. From this we learn that Jesus will meet you wherever you are in life and call you to Himself. Today He is on the shore calling for you. Pull up your anchor and hurry to Him while He calls your name.
