After the disappointment of being knocked out of both National and provincial cups in recent weeks,Tuam Celtic under 12s returned to league action today. Travelling out to Barna for a late kick off, management were expecting a reaction from the lads and they didnt let us down. A game played on a difficult surface in a strong wind, leading marksman Elliott McPhillips found the net twice in the opening period to give us a 2 goal cushion at the break. Barna came out after the break looking to get back into the game but some solid defending kept them at bay. With 5 minutes left Mark Collerran delivered the killer blow seeing us run out 3 - 0 winners. Well done lads, ya responded extremely well after a difficult few weeks, great to see ya back to winning ways.
