After the funeral of Jo (Josephine) Bennett - what a lovely name - TopicsExpress

After the funeral of Jo (Josephine) Bennett - what a lovely name that combined two feminist literary icons - who was 94 and a modernist artist trained at RMIT - including in the Fashion program before swapping to graphics in the 1940s - then that afternoon more matters of life and death - going under the knife for the first time in my life to have a suspicious growth on my back removed for analysis in relation to the big C being somewhat worried about this but ironically during the procedure awake under the local anaesthetic chatting about the battle of Gettysburg to the Dr and feeling a bit of a woos in fact with all our skin numbing lotions and pain killing injections - not to mention cuddly teddies and a monkey in waiting by the bed- when you think of men, boys and women facing up to losing limbs with nothing but whiskey as an analgesic
