After two surgeries, a stroke, an aortic valve replacement, a partial aorta replacement, a fibrillation, forgetting personal information, having my vision go crazy, taking meds by the cup full, putting up with swelled arms and legs, being in the kind of pain Ive only just thought about, and spending over 168 hours at the hospital, I am now home....And I feel blessed. So many thanks to Dr. Molloy and his team of PAs Pearce Beissinger, Leon Colburn, Allison Kos, as well as the involvement of various nurses, assistant nurses, RNs, Assistant RNs. This has been the most unbelievable week of my life. I give God full credit, but I also believe God fills our lives with people we need when we need them. The prayer warriors at Hinson (as well as many of my church accounts). The proponents of church stewardship and benevolence at Hinson and Door of Hope, as well as my parents sacrificial giving of time and money. The friendship and relationship of so many who stopped by the hospital: my folks, Ken and Carol, Sis and Bob, my kids, John Dutt, Nickole Cheron, Warren Chan, Gordy Scott, Rob Gordon, along with those who have already brought by food: Dexter and Ann Reed, Scott and Ann Reid, Sayuri and Mike Jones. All of you have made this bearable. Most of all, my wife has made this an exercise in what a biblical, sacrificial marriage looks like. As her bag says, she radiates pure awesomeness. As I previously mentioned Dr. Molloy and his team are ridiculous in their commitment to their patient. Like Jen said, it was seriously like a House, MD episode. These people literally kept throwing themselves at the problem again and again until they could be certain about the outcome. They put in tons of hours, sacrificing themselves in the process. At one point on Thursday, Pearce prayed with Jen about the outcome. I realize I downplayed the seriousness of this whole thing. It may not be far from the truth that I may not be here right now with this elite team of ohysicians. If you need cardiac surgery on any level, it is a no brainer as to who gets my recommendation. They approach their jobs with humility and a professionalism that may be unequaled. House, MD may make for entertaining TV, but these people across the board are called to their work. Thank you for giving my family and I a future ladies and gentlemen.
