After weeks of extensive interviews and consultations, we are delighted to announce that Ian MacAulay will be the OCCs new ice maker. Ian brings to the role decades of success making championship calibre ice at the RCMP and has been a longtime competitor in the OCCs cash league. The Board considered 11 applicants for the position from Ottawa, across Canada, and even one from the United States. Although we were impressed by the wealth of expertise and experience of all the candidates, Ian stood out as the ice maker who most clearly exemplified the attitude and abilities we were seeking and was most committed to our long-term success. Please join us in welcoming Ian to his new position. We have every confidence that, under Ians management, our members will enjoy consistently superior playing conditions in the upcoming seasons.
