After work walk in the park: I found myself off work with two hours before sunset, but still running in full-on production mode. I was racing down Hwy 101 south of Forks passing slower cars and RVs trying to get home to Olympia as quickly as possible. Why? So I could relax. As I was passing Ruby Beach I noticed a large bald eagle lazily soaring on a thermal and following the coast line. I thought to myself, why am I in a rush? Just think of all the people in Olympia, or any place really, that would rather be right here, right now, to catch the sunset at Ruby Beach. Especially when I had the whole place to myself (except for one other guy that I saw for about a minute while he was crossing Cedar Creek).
