After years of abuse on animal farms I have avoided Bothas Hill - TopicsExpress

After years of abuse on animal farms I have avoided Bothas Hill like the pest. You can only sit through so many kak lunches while your kids kick sand in purple rinsed grannys faces. Anyhow, I heard Treat Cafe and Two Acres tearoom were the spots to be and we trekked up the hill to face our suppressed nostalgic horrors. I think I want a permanent chair at Two Acres. Who would imagine that they would kick up such smarty pants dishes? The parmesan encrusted chicken was phenomenal, but what got me most was the setting. I am such a sucker for soulful country places. It felt like I was in France , just for a little bit. :-) Then, Treat Cafe at Talloula. Shew I had a rump that would give Butcher Boys and Havana a run for their money. Mature, not the average cafe type slam dunk steaks you get. Its a beautiful place and I was only briefly reminded of my little spawn days when little Timmy tried to stroke a bunny to death on the lawn. Nothing that earmuffs cant fix. Or of course, copious amounts of wine while you watch the sun set over those hills. Really, go visit both. Highly recommended. Two Acres: 1 Country Lane, Assagay Treat cafe: 61 Old main Rd, Bothas Hill
