After years of being in relationship after relationship I committed to staying single this year to focus on my relationship with God and let Him heal my heart. Best decision I ever made. In this short time God has shown me so much I was too distracted to see before and He has radically changed my heart in ways I didnt even think were possible. Being single is not a time to go searching for the right person, its a time to seek God and let Him prepare your heart to BE the right person for someone else. So many people are looking for someone to fill their needs rather than seeking God to fill their needs and so many people are seeking to be loved and served rather than seeking to love and serve. God designed us to experience our greatest joy in loving Him with our whole heart and in loving and serving others, which is why being self seeking leaves us empty. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
