Afternoon/evening update hospitalist came in checked me over. He and the neurologist agree on a diagnosis of complex migraine. Has been giving the decadron for 24 hours and was going to send me home but because the headache got worse he wants to keep me for one more night to give more decadron in the IV. Hes also gonna repeat the CAT scan. On another note about 2 pm it felt like someone was squeezing my throat he said thats normal for someone with acid reflux to get that and should go away once done with decadron. Hes also going to start me on topomax as a long term solution to the migraine headaches. (On that note a side effect of topomax is it makes you loose weight) so it feels good have a diagnosis and a plan of treatment for it.
