Again the Chorley U11s provided a really good performance in the Red Rose XC race at Rossendale. In very wet and muddy conditions Daniel Lilley(7th), Jack Hughes(15th), Harry Potts(18th), Joe Bowles(26th), Martin Rimmer(37th) & Owen Kellett(49th) came in 4th team beating the girls Amber Boardman(30th), Emily Warren(32nd), Lauren Prince(35th), Isabelle Farran(42nd), Amelia Bowles(47th) & Layla Allton(50th) who fought hard for 7th team. The U13 boys also came in 7th team with Jack Wilson(19th), brother Henry(36th) & Jacob Hughes(38th) all contributing. Caitlin McCarrick(19th) and Alisha Ibitoye(TBC) were the only U13 Chorley girls who did really well in these difficult conditions. The ladies produced an example of good packing with Anya Townsend(63rd), Alison Fowler(64th) nipping passed Jane Bowles(65th) yards from the line and securing 13th team place. In the mens race Darren Fishwick(53rd) couldnt find a fell race so lead in Dave Biddulph(64th), Jonathon Burgess(70th), Bill Beckett(102nd), Paul Wareing(116th), Paul Jackson(146th), Simon Townsend(155th) & Michael Hendry(161st). Barry Chester(173rd) was in front of Martin Quinn(176th) with Graham Schofield(188th). The men were 13th team, 10th vet team with Barry Chester the 3rd V60.
