Agape, the NT Greek word used for Gods love to express the essential nature of God. 1John 4:8 He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love. Another Greek word used in the NT is Echthra, which is taken from the word echthros, rendered as enmity or enemy. Enemy [echthros] is used as adversary [ as of the devil]. Echthra is the exact opposite of Agape. The resurrection of Jesus, the Messiah, released the Agape love into the born again believer and this is the essential base of the new nature. On the other hand, there is a people operating in another nature, one of enmity, hatred and hostility, warring against the Agape. Just as hatred and hostility is coming forth in all of the full characteristics of the adversary, the devil, there is a people coming forth in the fullness of the attributes of God their Father. The Fathers attributes are the inherent characteristics of the born again and are being developed within the yielded vessels. Paul spoke in Eph. 4:13 of a people coming to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Rom. 8:19, For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. We believe now. We have faith now. We are now [presently] the sons of God. Right now his attributes are being developed within us. Those before us walked in the full operation of His gifts, but it is going to take more than a gift now. We are coming to the fullness of His attributes.Yes, we too have the gifts of the Holy Spirit right here in our day, however, the full inherent attributes of God in His people will be that which causes the church to excel into a supernatural order of existence. CHRIST IN US THE HOPE OF Glory!
