It is no longer news that even the TUC, some pastors and many public servants including the LGA caretaker chairmen and one Mr Chris Oruge(the chairman of NLC rivers state chapter have been paid 500 000naira each with 100tshirts to mobilise 100 persons each..this is sincerely no mere allegation but a confirmed one. They call it solidarity rally but I call it a deceptive rally. Today marks exactly seven years anniversary of the court judgement that brought Amaechi to office and also the last of such celebration as the governor of rivers state. We would therefore expect that every of his allies or associate who he invites would be so convinced to attend this occasion. Again, he has practically invited the whole of APC Nigeria to rivers state today, I mean APC members from all over Nigeria are all en route to Port Harcourt due to the presence of their chieftains and all their presidential aspirants. News have it that more than 100buses have been on contract to shuttle Imo people to and fro the rally in Port Harcourt and yet he claims he is on ground in Rivers state. The above named points are what differentiate. The APC rally today from the PDP rallies. The other day at Nkpolu RSUST roundabout field, it was only an Ikwerre peoples solidarity rally for chief Wike and sincere enough the former minister and many state PDP chieftains were absent even the PDP chairman and state executive members were visibly absent yet the crowd numbering above twenty eight thousand were on ground. It was obvious that people paid their own transportation fee to and fro the arena, their was no food or water but the people were cheerful. President Jonathan, Gen Yakubu Gowon, Sule Lamido and chief Obasanjo were not invited and thus were not around yet the turn out was amazing. NOTE: yesterdays gathering was just for a welcome back for chief Wike and the opening of his capaign primaries! ...it is likely that we would see the APC people trying to proclaim popularity in rivers state today but we have obviously not done our own rally.....If amaechi thinks he and the APC was on ground then he should have organised this rally for rivers people alone and not to invite the whole of Nigerians including Rumuokoro abokis and mallams....indeed the majority of people we will see today at the stadium are the mallams, the ABOKIS and muslim faithfuls who will be on ground for Buharis sake and the Igbo people who are lovers of Owelle from imo state. I repeat if amaechi thinks he is popular then he should. Organise and ikwere rally or a rally for rivers men as it would then be justifiable to compare the rallies.....just imagine if PDP was to hold her zonal rally in port Harcourt, I bet you the entire rivers state wont contain us..just imagine if chief wike was to host president Goodluck Jonathan, Gen Yakubu Gowon, President IBB ,namadi Sambo, adamu muazu ,chief Tonih anenih and chief obasanjo, sincerely speaking a forty thousand capacity stadium will be a child play. Dont mind them !!! They truly exist only on bill boards as proclaimed by our dear president.
