1. Ahead of his visit to Jammu and Kashmir early next week, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh yesterday reviewed the status of the Rs 37,000-crore reconstruction package for the state which is currently being implemented. The Prime Minister is undertaking two-day visit to the state from June 25. 2. To review the arrangements put in place for Shri Amarnathji Yatra commencing on 28thJune, N. N. Vohra, Governor, who is Chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board yesterday visited Sheshnag, Chandanwadi and Nunwan camps on the Pahalgam Route. Governor asked each of the concerned Government Departments and all other agencies to complete the remaining work before 26th June 2013. 3. The District Development Board Kishtwar yesterday under the Chairmanship of Abdul Majid Wani, Cabinet Minister for R&B and Mechanical Engineering approved the outlay of Rs. 7198.91 lacs for District Kishtwar for the Financial Year of 2013-14. This includes Rs. 2491.32 lacs of proposed Revenue Expenditure and Rs. 4707.59 lacs of proposed capital expenditure. 4. Under Flagship programme Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) Over 50325 job cards issued to the Rural labour families during the last four years creating about 22 Lakh mandays for them. This was informed by District Panchayat Officer, Rohit Sharma during a review meeting held yesterday. 5. A meeting of Tehsil and all block level presidents of saint Guru Kabir Sabha (SGKS) held yesterday under the Chairmanship of Chairman Saint Guru Kabir Sabha, Udhampur Ved Praksh at Kabir Bhawan, baryal, Udhampur to discuss arrangements for 615thKabir Jayanti. 6. Minister for Housing Raman Bhalla yesterday directed the District development Commissioner to depute a team of officers in the interior areas of the Doda district for assessing the loss of people affected due to recent earthquake so that the compensation could be disbursed among them after proper survey. This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the officers at a high level meeting held at Dak Bungalow at Doda yesterday. 7. Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand yesterday said priority is being given to address infrastructure needs of border and far-off belts of the State and exemplary initiatives have been taken for all round development of these areas. He was addressing a public meeting at Pargwal. 8. Board of Professional Entrance examination (BPOEE) is conducting Combined Entrance Test-2013 today in which 24000 candidates are appearing across the state. Board of Professional Entrance examination (BPOEE) which is conducting the CET, has set up Total 24 centres for the purpose. Fourteen Centres have been established at Kashmir and 10 in Jammu.
