This program is specifically designed to stimulate brain function for the active senior, those with mild cognitive impairment, or early stage Alzheimers Disease and Dementia by employing a variety of cognitively challenging activities. All activities focus on cognitive strengthening, maintaining and improving hand eye coordination, and using fine motor skills. Brain stimulation uses the five domains of therapeutic recreation - physical, social, spiritual, creative, and cognitive. Sessions are conducted individually or in a small group setting in either the client’s home or facility. Aging Smart, Inc. uses a variety of activities for both early and late stages of dementia.
