Agriculture in India is taking a back seat and is being totally imbalanced by short term get rich residential, commercial and industrial infrastructure. Climate change has also been experienced and pollution levels are increasing. Is there a cause for immediate concern? Yes. Anarchy could be an after product of imbalanced development enriching a relative few compared to the mass of under-employed citizens. The anger threshold is being accelerated. There is a need for the Governments over the next 10 years to effect people friendly and economy stabilising reforms along with boosting of indigenous food production through self sustaining agriculture. The balance is what the polity should ask off the election manifestos of all political parties wherein debates and dialogues on priorities and plans will be dissected threadbare in public transparently. Can we grow into this level of intellectual politics. We need to , to save India from instability. All intellectuals including the private sector should rally together to effect this.
