Agriculture stakeholders Thursday held a farmers’ day for farmers from Ndeiya, the driest part of #Kiambu County. Ndeiya Ward representative Nelson Munga urged local farmers to appreciate agriculture despite the climatic odds against them. During the farmers’ day held at the area chief’s camp, Munga led the over 100 farmers in visiting different stands to learn about seeds, fertilizer and irrigation from experts in an effort to boost agriculture in the area. Mr Munga said Ndeiya had expansive land and if the locals had sufficient water all year round, the ward would feed the residents of Kiambu County and also have some extra produce for sale to other parts of Kenya.
