Ah, sisters! This past week I was moving so fast on the activist stuff that I wasnt paying attention to the weather. Yesterdays snow blindsided me and I hadnt stocked up on groceries like I normally would. So this afternoon, one sister sent me down a care package, with meat, eggs, bread, and fresh fruit. The other sister was cleaning off the car she loans me and shoveling snow so I could actually get out if I needed to. I deeply appreciate and love my sisters. :) Whether you have siblings or not, whether they live close by or not, remember that we can all be family to each other if we choose. I have a dear friend who has been keeping tabs on my food situation via Facebook. She would have been willing to brave the frozen streets if I had needed her to. If you are among the more able bodied, please, please do think about the less able bodied folks around you. Check on them, ask them if they need anything. We really can be family if we choose to, but we have to make that choice and then act on it. Love, light, and lots of warmth to you and yours.
