Ah the fun begins for Alicia and I we have started educating her daughter on the Civil War, or as we like to call it the war of northern aggression, so we started with explaining that the war was not fought over slavery, and that it was fought over states rights and taxes that were unfair, and that the great hero Lincoln, only used slavery to keep it going and make the North appear to be fighting a war for a righteous cause. We are showing her storyies of the real reasons, and just watch Gangs of New York with her and I explained that it was a movie, but much of the events of the movie were true and showed her that most in NYC did not want to fight the war for Lincoln, and they really did not care at all about slavery. But I think a child should see the darker side of our history, they need to see it all, and see how the Political system has always been corrupt, and how the Dems played the same crap then as they do now, and that the Republicans were just as bad. Alicias Daughter should have fun in history.
