Ahh, Wesak moon. What a powerful thing you are, and the messages just keep flowing. I saw something on the newsfeed today that actually hurt to read, but it really got me thinking. GB used to like to quote Joseph Campbell and Ram Dass about being with the sh*t of the world, especially as a means to liberation. As an empath/sensitive myself this was never an easy thing for me, and it still isnt. There have been great teachings given by great Vajra master Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and others about the exposed, vulnerable heart and the power that lies in that. The pain of the world may crush the soul like a lily, but it is then when its lovely fragrance gets released. There is no virtue in strength that hides behind a great wall based on fear and reactivity. This may be necessary for awhile no judgment on that, but we dont get free in the armory. We also dont get free riding our Pink Unicorns in the 9th dimension (although we can certainly visit there once in awhile.) There is no shame in being human, even though humans sometimes do shameful things. This place is complex and in many cases it is like a karmic kindergarten. Just to keep ones side of the street clean and radiate LOVE as much as possible is a pretty big thing, really. Cheers to all of you who are doing it. Happy Wesak Bright Stars.
