Aims if elected as Convenor for the college of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic studies: • Work more closely with all class reps to establish the re-occurring issues in the various disciplines and work to eliminate them • Hold T&T (Tea&Talk) event for first years. This would involve inviting all first years to come together and have a chat over a cup of tea and get to know some people in their year. Hopefully then they wouldnt have the daunting experience of going into the large lectures and classes alone. • Hold career evenings/talks aimed specifically at students with Arts degrees. So many students are confused and unsure as to what career options are available to them so the aim of these events is to help Arts students pinpoint the right option for them. • Overall, if elected I just want students to know that Im a friendly face there to help. I will help any student with any issue, big or small, to the best if my ability.
