(Airtel added maximum 0.60…) NEW DELHI: Bharti Airteladded the maximum 0.60 million subscribers in the month of August, followed by Idea Cellular, 0.40 million and Aircel with 0.22 million, GSM lobby body COAIsaid Wednesday. Vodafone Indiaadded 0.21 million subscribers, while Telenor-promoted Uninoradded 0.20 million new rural subscribers. The overall rural subscriber base stood at 304.73 million as of August 2014, up 1.63 million or 0.54per cent increase over the previous month. UP East telecom circle added maximum 32.47 million rural subscribers in August. Airtel has the largest rural subscriber base at 97.32 million customers in the country. Vodafone has 90.83 million rural subscribers, while Idea and Aircel have 77.27 million and 26.43 million users respectively. Uninor has 12.88 million rural subscribers in India.
