Ajay Devgn heads for Canada soon, to shoot Shivaay in sub-zero temperature---- It is going to be some cold times ahead for Ajay Devgn and his cast and crew of Shivaay. He has chosen a never-explored-destination for his second directorial outing, what with a place that is further up of Calgary, Canada. Cold and accessibility are just two of the major challenges that await Ajay Devgn as he sets off to the foreign land in the month of January. Says Ajay, We are going to be shooting at a temperature of minus 35 degree Celsius. This isnt all as cars cannot be used for commutation to 90% of the locations. We would all have to do a lot of mountain climbing. It is going to be a very tough shoot. A big budget action film which also boasts of an action director from Fast and the Furious franchise, Shivaay is a dream project for Ajay Devgn who had been planning it for three to four years. We did the recce first to test the waters, actually - test the snow, chuckles Ajay, We wanted to make sure if we were indeed up for it. I also wanted to see the comfort level of my crew. They are a motivated bunch of people though and are totally on for it. We travel in January and shoot a major part of Shivaay on these mountains. It is after ages that Ajay Devgn, who usually works on two to three films a year, is keeping his entire calendar aside just for one film. That is due to extensive shoot in foreign locations, including Calgary, as well as intensive post production that would be required for the film. Thats right. I wanted to keep a year aside for the film and had been thinking about it for many years. Now I have managed to do that and hence havent signed anything else for next year, says Ajay. Principle shoot of Shivaay, which is produced by Ajay Devgn and Sunil A Lulla, wraps up in middle of 2015 and then releases on 22nd January 2016, hence enjoying a five day weekend including Republic Day.
