Al Gore to Discuss Climate Change With TakePart on Tuesday - Day that My Article Runs I am very excited to announce that this week, TakePart is doing a major five-part series on climate change, to mark the 7th Anniversary of Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth.” TakePart asked me to write one of the feature stories – I wrote about Hurricane Sandy and a Staten Island family who narrowly escaped an 8-foot-wall of water that night, and how climate change is now being taken more seriously by people in this mostly conservative section of New York City. I also discuss other impacts of global warming, including things you don’t think about, like sinkholes (as groundwater disappears, the earth collapses). On Tuesday, June 11, Google+ is hosting a live chat with Al Gore and Jeff Skoll (founder of Participant Media, which distributed Gore’s film and owns TakePart) on climate change.
