Al-Kaabi Honors 140 Qatari Graduates Under Qatar Petroleum’s Scholarship Program Eng. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, President and CEO of Qatar Petroleum (QP), gave recognition recently to a total of 140 Qatari nationals who have completed their academic studies and training programs under QP’s scholarship program. The QP Graduates Recognition Ceremony 2014, which was held under the patronage of Mr. Al-Kaabi, honored one master’s degree holder, 99 graduates with bachelor’s degrees, 16 students who had received their diplomas, 11 others who had finished their Clerical Preparation Program (CPP), and 13 students who had successfully completed their Technician Preparation Program (TPP). On this occasion, Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, President and CEO of Qatar Petroleum, said: “Qatar Petroleum attaches a great deal of importance to developing and attracting Qatari youth, and seeks through its strategic plans for education in prestigious universities, higher institutes, colleges and specialized training centers in Qatar and abroad to empower and employ well qualified and competent Qatari cadre of both genders in various disciplines, particularly in the oil and gas sector.” “We are extremely proud to have a new group of capable Qatari youth, who with their willing and enthusiastic spirit will play an active role in realizing Qatar Petroleum’ vision and mission, and will contribute to the development efforts geared towards achieving progress for our beloved country under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar,” he added. The QP-sponsored graduates were enrolled in colleges and universities within Qatar or in various educational institutions abroad, including France, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Mr. Al-Kaabi attended the QP Graduates Recognition Ceremony 2014 together with the Executive Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Corporate Managers of QP as well as the families and friends of the graduates. In his welcome speech on this occasion, Mr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Mannai, Executive Vice President for Human Capital of QP stressed on the significance of this event as it concludes a year full of distinguished events held to celebrate QP’s 40th anniversary. Mr. Al-Mannai noted that investment in people who are Qatar’s most valuable asset, and providing the best technical and university education, combined with the best professional training programs needed to build the capacity of the new Qatari generations to meet the requirements of growth and prosperity are the best means to achieve this goal. During the event, which was held at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), the graduates who had distinguished themselves for their excellent performance were given recognition, and all the graduates received a Certificate of Appreciation for their achievements. QP’s comprehensive scholarship programmes provide young Qatari students with a wide range of specialized training and educational opportunities in various universities, colleges and training centers within Qatar and abroad. QP-sponsored students take up various courses mainly in engineering, information technology (IT) and similar specialties, and they are enrolled in educational institutions within Qatar or abroad. الكعبي يرعى حفل تكريم 140 خريجاً قطرياً ضمن برنامج المنح الدراسية في قطر للبترول تحت رعاية المهندس سعد شريده الكعبي، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لقطر للبترول، تم تكريم 140 خريجاً قطرياً أتموا بنجاح دراستهم الجامعية ودوراتهم التدريبية ضمن برنامج قطر للبترول للمنح الدراسية، وذلك خلال حفل أقيم مؤخراً في مركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات بحضور عدد من السادة نواب رئيس المؤسسة ومدراء الإدارات وعدد من موظفيها. وقد تم خلال الحفل، الذي أقامته قطر للبترول لتكريم خريجي عام 2014، تكريم خريج حصل على درجة الماجستير، و99 خريجاً حصلوا على درجة البكالوريوس، و16 طالباً حصلوا على شهادات الدبلوم، و11 طالباً أنهوا برنامج إعداد الكتبة، و13 طالباً أنهوا بنجاح برنامج الإعداد الفني. وبهذه المناسبة قال السيد سعد شريده الكعبي، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لقطر للبترول: تولي قطر للبترول أهمية كبيرة إلى تطوير الشباب القطري واستقطابه، وذلك من خلال خطط استراتيجية للتعليم في جامعات مرموقة ومعاهد عليا وكليات ومراكز تدريب متخصصة داخل الدولة وخارجها، إذ نسعى حثيثاً إلى إعداد وتوظيف كوادر وطنية مؤهلة ومتميزة في مختلف التخصصات، لاسيما في قطاع النفط والغاز. وأضاف سيادته قائلاً: نحن نفتخر بانضمام مجموعة جديدة من الشباب القطري، بما يمتلكوه الآن من قدرات واستعداد وحماس، للمشاركة بدور فاعل في تحقيق رؤية قطر للبترول ورسالتها، والإسهام في جهود البناء والتنمية لتحقيق التقدم لوطننا الحبيب قطر في ظل القيادة الرشيدة لحضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، أمير البلاد المفدى. تجدر الإشارة إلى أن عدداً كبيراً من الخريجين الذين تم تكريمهم قد تلقوا دراستهم الأكاديمية في جامعات وكليات ومراكز تدريب داخل دولة قطر، فيما تخرج البعض الآخر من جامعات ومعاهد عليا متخصصة في فرنسا والمملكة المتحدة والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. وفي كلمته الترحيبية، عبر السيد عبد العزيز محمد المناعي، نائب الرئيس لشؤون الموارد البشرية في قطر للبترول، عن سروره وأشار إلى أن هذا التجمع المهم يأتي مسك ختام عام مليء بالفعاليات المميزة بمناسبة ذكرى مرور أربعين عاماً على تأسيس قطر للبترول، منوهاً إلى أن الاستثمار في الإنسان هو أغلى ما تملكه قطر، فتوفير فرص التعليم التقني والجامعي المتميز مع أفضل برامج التدريب العملي، وبناء قدرات أجيال جديدة من الشباب والشابات القطريين لتلبية متطلبات النمو والازدهار هو من أفضل الوسائل لتحقيق هذا الهدف. وقد تم خلال هذا الحفل تكريم الخريجين الذين حققوا تفوقاً متميزاً في الأداء، كما حصل جميع الخريجين على شهادة تقدير على إنجازاتهم. جدير بالذكر أن برامج قطر للبترول للمنح الدراسية الشاملة تقدم إلى الشباب القطري مجموعة متنوعة من فرص التعليم والتدريب المتخصص في مختلف الجامعات والكليات ومراكز التدريب في قطر وخارجها، حيث يدرس الطلاب المبتعثون تخصصات مختلفة، لاسيما الهندسة وتكنولوجيا المعلومات واختصاصات مماثلة. ويتم تسجيل الطلاب في مؤسسات تعليمية داخل قطر وخارجها.
