Alamance-Burlington Career and Technical Education Center A group of CTEC students are taking courses from the North Carolina School of Science and Math this semester! This is the first year CTEC is offering these innovative honors level classes through video conferencing where students are able to interact with their instructor and other classmates from around the state. Last Friday, two of the instructors visited CTEC to conduct hands-on lessons with students. Students in Forensic Science learned how to analyze and measure blood splatter when investigating crimes. Students taking Forensic Material Evidence and Accident Investigation dropped spoons from different heights onto cans covered with various materials (wax paper, aluminum foil, paper towel, etc) to determine when it would break. CTEC is offering two other courses, Genetics & Biotechnology and African American Studies, this semester through NCSSM and will be adding Aerospace Engineering to the course selections next semester!
