Alas, black life in America has little or no value. And the often meaningless chants of "no justice, no peace" will echo throughout neighborhoods and gradually fade away bringing neither to fruition. Young black men will continue to be an "endangered species" many dying at the hands of someone who looks just like them, predominately black neighborhoods will continue to be havens of despair and desolation elected officials will continue to put in place those systems that continue to deny, disenfranchise, and ultimately destroy. A good number of black women will continue to raise fatherless sons. The prison industrial complex will continue to overflow with black men, destroying potential and dreams. Many will long for the voices of Malcom and Martin, but instead will have the shrill and empty voices of Sharpton and Jackson. Yeezus (aka Kanye West) and Jay Z will no doubt dedicate a song (while collecting millions and flaunting Blue Ivy and North West before the cameras, while Coulter and Limbaugh bellow with glee, Obama will continue to placate and play it safe, along with spineless and soulless Democratic lawmakers. The question is when will we be like our Jewish Brothers and sisters who see what happened to their people during the Holocaust, those individuals that look down at the tattooed serial number on their or a relatives arm and say in both words and deeds, "NEVER AGAIN!"
