Albay is hosting the 40th Meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and three National Tourism Organizations on May 15-17; the 26th Joint Meeting of the UNWTO Commissions for East Asia and the Pacific and UNWTO Commission for the South Asia on May 18; and the UNWTO-ASEAN Conference on Tourism and Climate Change on May 19-20. Governor Joey Sarte Salceda said the venue for these events is set at The Oriental Hotel, here, and that to ensure a smooth hosting, simulation exercises will be held on Friday and Saturday.
