Alexander Nathan Skolnick (born September 29, 1968 in Berkeley, California) is a guitarist and composer of jazz and metal. He is a member of the thrash metal band formed in San Francisco Testament the year 1983 In the year 1993 left Testament, and in 1994 joined the band to record Savatage Handful of Rain and a live album. After leaving Savatage, Skolnick Attention Deficit formed an instrumental group of Jazz Fusion with Tim Alexander (Primus drummer) and Michael Manring. Then Alex Skolnick Trio form. In 2005, after spending several years that Alex left Testament, he rejoins her for a series of concerts, but it was not until 2008 that released a new album titled The formation of Damnation, the first band after 10 years of inactivity.
