Alfonso Soriano is starting to heat up as he hit two home runs including his 400th career homer as the Yankees beat the Blue Jays 7-1. In his second game back from the DL, Derek Jeter drove in the Yankees first run in the first inning with a single to score Brett Gardner and the Yankees never looked back. Andy Pettitte picked up his 10th win of the season and became the franchise leader in most seasons with at least 10 wins with 14 season. Alex Rodriguez hit his second homer in many nights. Robinson Cano was hit in the left hand with a pitch. He is day-to-day with the injury. The Yankees had another injury scare when Eduardo Nunez hurt his ankle but he managed to stay in the game until he was pinch run by Lyle Overbay. The rubber game will be on Wednesday as Hiroki Kuroda will try to bounce back after two straight ineffective outings as the Yankees attempt to finish the road trip strong and take two of three in Toronto before heading home for a big 10-game homestand. - Jeff (Yankees Admin)
