Alhamdulillah,I had an invigorating day of teaching and discussions. Besides the awesome discussions on Facebook, I taught five interesting classes today and had great discussions with the students in each class: 1) Started the day at 7am with a class on the second and third major maxims of Fiqh i.e. Conviction cannot be overruled by doubt and Difficulty leads to ease 2) This was followed immediately at 8:15am with a Tafseer 101 class on the language of the Quran focusing on the different terminology used by Tafseer scholars in explaining the Quran 3) Then at 9:30am, I had a Tafseer class explaining verses 23-27 of Surah Kahf and shifted into a discussion on Secular Democracy VS Shariah Law 4) At 2:45pm, I had a class on Etiquette of Seeking knowledge focusing on the importance of Zuhd i.e. detaching our hearts from this world and focusing on the Afterlife, with a special emphasis on avoiding materialism 5) Finally, at 4pm, I had an Islamic History class focusing on the rise of the Abbasids and the development of science and technology during the reign of Harun Ar-Rasheed Alhamdulillah for the beautiful job of teaching Allahs Deen. #IOU #BAIS
