All Sarawak Federal Minister must resign immediately if they are not prepared to look into issues relating to fair participation through fair allocation of business opportunities in the oil and gas industry. Sarawak get only 5% royalties out of the total production out put. More worrying trend today is that, many local oil and gas contractors barely can make ends meet and keep their nose above water despite discoveries of the many new fields and concession areas, including rejuvenated ones, opened up for exploration and production operation that involve sum of Billion of ringgit worth of contract value being awarded. INTERESTING FACTS:- It was disclosed today by a very reliable source that there are about 4,000 Oil & Gas Contractors in Malaysia. There are only 7% of these numbers from Sarawak and 5% from the State of Sabah. To add insults to injury, the Sarawak or Sabah companies ONLY get a once off project of negligible contracts sums, whereas the other West Malaysian based companies are getting contracts huge contracts one after another. Well, Sarawak and Sabah YBs or Ministers for that matter...have some balls please and question PETRONAS to disclose matters on this issues in Parliament. We also want to know he total number of companies registered with PETRONAS and the ratio of Contracts given to Sarawak and Sabah based companies and the amount of these contracts. Be FAIR AND TRANSPARENT...if you want to say that MALAYSIA is for all Malaysians, and that Sarawak and Sabah are given equal opportunities in Oil & Gas business contracts...
