Considering Indias heritage, Australia is nothing more than a big - TopicsExpress

Considering Indias heritage, Australia is nothing more than a big wasteland filled with convicts. Seems as though most of the steretypes are due to north indian immigrants. In the south, there are some who have never even heard of curry. The word itself is only familiar as a vague reference to some foods. The great traditions of India included the famous systems of philosophy such as Tarka, Nyaya-Vaisesika, Sankhya, Yoga,Jainism,Boudha, Mimamsa and Vedanta. While the western world was still squabbling about whether Jesus was superior to Mohammed and etceteras .Vedantians in India debated with other systems of philosophy in a civilised manner, and ascertained the true nature of the Self. None of these believed things based on faith or miracles, but only after vigorous proofs using perception, logic and the theory of a paurusheyatva for Shabda (look it up somewhere). Vidya, or Knowledge, occurs only when one rises above the status of a Chandala (Dog Eater) or Mleccha (Barbarian). These are terms that describe westerners and indian immigrants who shun their own culture quite aptly. The rigor of logic used in famous philosophical debates was legendary. A vibrant temple culture, profound realisation of the Veda, and various works of poetry, prose, music and art, all of which were directed at realising the ultimate truth, are still very much alive in India. No religion was propagated by sword. Debates between intellectual giants were conducted and traditions like Buddhism, Jainism, Saivam, Shaktam, Nyaya/Vaisesika, Mimamsa, etc. were vanquished by Vedantins. Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marath and Hindi...different works in all fields praising Brahman. Can anyone even begin to understand what we have inherited? In multiple languages yet.Much of this is still unknown to the west. Thanks to the christian colonists who brought their useless religions into India, nothing more than multiple hindu gods, or caste system is evil one ! or Indians practice sati is known to these westerners. Before attacking Indians, it would be good to look at oneself. India, as mentioned before, may have problems now, but there are still places of such spiritual power, insulated from the common world, that nothing can rival them. Australia has nothing more than one measly harbor and a coral reef. Not to mention a history of convicts. Indian traditions and spirituality are unparalleled. Not even Socrates diaogues or Aristotles philosophizing come close to the lofty heights of Vedanta. And some excuse for a biped uses skin color? A Vedantin looks at a dog, a learned man, a dog eater and a cow the same way. The indwelling Self is one in all. Of course, that doesnt mean, I cant call a spade a spade, or a chandala as a chandala. One of my friend stayed in Australia for a year, and it was enough to make her homesick. True, India lacks in a few departments, but the problem only is for very poor people. The lower middle class and upper middle class have access to basic facilities. Compared to Australia, where one cant even buy a knife in safeway or coles without it being blunt. She is quite happy about her come back in India now. Acc.to her Australian morons have been brainwashed by channels like SBS in their country, which show India in a biased light. Much of what I said probably wont be understood. Reality is, beyond Indias so-called poverty, caused due to endless invasions by chandalas and mlecchas, most folk have access to basic facilities and a strong tradition and heritage, which remains unbroken, although unpublicised.
