All, There has been some derogatory statements about PapAdopters - TopicsExpress

All, There has been some derogatory statements about PapAdopters and the Hazelbaker Papillon rescue that we at PapAdopters would like to address. As you may know we lost our leader, Ellen Stuban, on December 12th, the day after the Hazelbaker papillons were brought into rescue. We were left stunned and overwhelmed with the task of taking in 20 papillons, we did what we could but eventually had to surrender all the PapAdopter rescues to PapHaven except the 3 older male papillons. Two of these went to their breeders as per their contracts. The third, Jamie, was put into a PapAdopters foster home. We received a very promising application on Jamie immediately and had already done reference and vet checks when Ellen passed. Ellen wanted this adoption to go thru PapAdopters and we complied with her wishes. PapAdopters has always processed applications on a first come / first served basis, period. The second potential adopter was notified of the pending application immediately upon receipt of their application. As far as the monies donated to PapAdopters Paypal Account and the GoFundMe account, these funds will be reconciled and distributed to PapHaven as stated previously. We are still working with Ellens family to gather records and gain access to the accounts. Once we have this information we will distribute the monies appropriately. We have been working with the President of PapHaven and will continue to do so as we both have the best interest of the dogs at heart. Please allow us some time to get this worked out without slandering our name across Facebook. We are doing our best and find it very disheartening that people would think so lowly of us to insinuate that we would cheat these dogs. We are in rescue for the good of the dogs. Ellen would be heartbroken to see the posts about her beloved rescue group and I, for one, am appalled.
