All finished up at UIC. We met with Wyatts entire team today. Theyve decided to move forward with his 10th (is that possible??...) surgery on November 24th. Wy will be having both of his eyes worked on. The Drs havent touched his left eye since he was 3 months old, so Im pretty nervous about how hell tolerate having both of his eyes done. The scar tissue has just gotten so thick and has started to encroach on his cornea. They need to fix it now before it effects his vision since this is his good eye. He will be getting a conformer in this eye as well as his right, which is new for his also. His right eye not only has scar tissue again, but he has started to not use it like he should. Hes letting his left eye do most of the work. The Drs arent sure why this is happening so theyre hopeful that theyll be able to remove the scarring and place a new conformer and hell start to use it again. Please keep Wyatt in your prayers. He is such an amazing little boy....So happy, so sweet, so wild. It breaks my heart to watch him go through this time and time again, but hes really blessed to have so many kind people in his corner.
