All is peaceful and as still as a mill pond in the Tree house this morning - alas there is no freight train snoring keeping me awake - no - just the missing of it - The Swifty has gone a midnight - though we did snuggle up and watch Celebrity Big Brother before he left - I know it’s rubbish - but it was at least entertaining rubbish. It’s amazing just what these have beens and wanna bee celebrities will do - to achieve the adoration of the public. Eat humble pie - Eat Kangaroo testicles - dress in vibrant lycra and throw themselves off oversized slides Back in Noel Edmunds house party days - they just got gonged and gunged. (anyone of a youthful disposition might want to google that) Yes the adoration of strangers is a very addictive thing. To be loved and adored - by someone you love and adore - is a bit of a given - something you kind of expect But to be adored - loved - by someone who doesn’t know you at all - complete adoration from complete strangers - that’s quite something isn’t it? To get that - you must have to be someone very “special” indeed. And although alot of us long and endeavour - not to stand out from the crowd and be different - we all of us long to be special. Or at least to know someone special Oui we are complicatedly simple creatures - or at least simply complicated - or in my case just simple (I heard that - you didn’t have to agree soooo quickly) I wonder if that is what this ear facebook is all about - the adoration of the unknown - to be “liked” by a peep you don’t know from Adam. Is that more of a buzz on a Sunday morning when you log on than being liked by your nearest and dearest? Does facebook bring out the desperate celebrity in all of us ?
