The garbage people will believe these days. This article gets so many basic facts wrong. For instance, Jesus isnt mentioned in Josephus Jewish Wars. He is mentioned in Josephus Antiquities in books 18 and 20. And the consensus view among scholars is that the book 18 mention (the Testimonium Flavianum) has been edited by a later Christian scribe. But most think it is at least partially authentic. Also, the book 20 reference (in connection with the death of James the brother of Jesus) is accepted by most scholars as being authentic. The whole methodology of this article is wrong. How many references in the first century do we have to the siege against Jerusalem (A.D. 66-70) or the destruction of the temple (A.D. 70) by the Romans? We have ONE -- Josephus! Arguments from silence like this are weak when you consider that so much literature from the first century has been lost. We also have very good primary sources concerning the life of Jesus (the gospels) and very compelling reason to think he definitely existed as an historical figure. [^ Grabbed from somewhere else]
