All lanes of Interstate Highway 280 in Redwood City have reopened after a fatal crash blocked traffic for hours, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash, involving at least two cars, was reported at about 2:40 a.m. on southbound Highway 280, just south of Woodside Road, CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano said. Details about the crash have not yet been released, but one person has died in the crash, Caggiano said. A Sig-alert was issued at 3:31 a.m. when the CHP closed all southbound Highway 280 lanes from Farm Hill Boulevard to Woodside Road, according to Caggiano. The Sig-alert was cancelled when all the lanes were reopened at about 6:15 a.m., the CHP said.
