When ever I see the movie Troy or read Homer,One character disturbs me,that character takes my sleep away,Son of Priam,the Prince of Troy,The mighty warrior, HECTOR. The man who fought for his country,loved his wife and family,who protected his brother,who respected his father. I dont find Achilles great,Even though he killed Hector,I find Hector great and my Hero in the Iliad is Prince Hector,and his words echo in Mount Ida and oceans off the Greek cost. Oh, and that sounds heroic to you, doesnt it ? To die fighting? Tell me, little brother, have you ever killed a man? Ever seen a man die in combat? Ive killed men, and Ive heard them dying, and Ive watched them dying, and theres nothing glorious about it, nothing poetic!
