All of these lawmakers were told this would happen. Marijuana is a money loser -- and this needs to be reported. It is time for journalists to start bothering with more than tax revenue collected. How much has the spike in ER visits cost? How about the increase in pot-related DUI? How much has Colorado shelled out for other regulation and law enforcement, which are proving to be very hit-and-miss? And then theres that multimillion-dollar prevention campaign for kids ... News organizations owe it to the public to analyze BOTH SIDES of this balance sheet.
