All of us at the Club are overwhelmed and touched by so many messages of support and help. Thank you, thank you so much, it means a lot to us that you care and have taken the time and trouble to comment. Thanks to those that have shared the post as well, and to all the people who like our page. We will have our donation box available on Sundays but we only need to raise enough to cover the cost of materials and lost revenue while we have to run a restricted service over the next few weeks. We are not looking to make a huge profit out of you kind souls, so we do not all think a donations page is necessary at the moment (thank you for the idea). We would rather not claim on our insurance unless totally necessary as this just means increased premiums in the future - and this does not cover lost revenue anyway. We only ever seek to cover our running costs and maintain our site and the railway. All the work is done by club members who are volunteers and pay an annual subscription, and the majority of the locomotives are built by them, a labour of love sometimes taking many years. We enjoy sharing our hobby giving rides on Sunday afternoons to all generations and hopefully this will continue for many, many more years. Thank you once again.
