All religions are represented by all followers, and if your followers are fundamentalists: I.e those who stick closest to their religion: and they manage to do immoral things. Then the fundamental teachings of your religion are evil. The KKK and the Spanish inquisition is deeply and strictly religious. Reformist religion is respectful exactly because it rejects half of its own religion. But then again: Why label them religious when they select parts and throw parts away? Thus, religious as a formation of morality is harmless when it is stuck to, and when people do immoral things under the name of religion, the good who are religious are left useless as they cannot reject, refute and refuse to admit that said people are merely reading their text more literally.
