All right, everyone- a question has been rolling around in my head for weeks and since I havent been able to answer it, maybe you can help me. Several have followed the latest Facebook trend of posting daily three things for which you are grateful. Why? I am truly interested in the responses because I just assumed that we all wake up profoundly grateful every morning and give thanks to God, to Allah, to Mother Earth, to the sun- whatever it is we believe in- for the fact were not running for our lives, holding an injured child in our arms, or grieving the violent loss of our kin. Is it necessary to publicly articulate that we love our families and friends and are grateful for them? Shouldnt we tell them that directly? Please do not take offense- I actually want to know....thanks!
