All that can be said about this is that it clearly states in black and white on the bar that if you (the customer) are not happy with the size of the head on your pint simply ask for a top up. We by law have to implement this rule, if we were to refuse we are breaking the law. I can confidently say that this hasnt and will never happen. It is understandable that with factors like human error, busy periods and uncontrollable beer flow that the 95% liquid 5% head guideline, cannot be achieved every time. I will say that the trading standards officers didnt ask for a top up in the pints they bought nor did they show us the measurements taken.
