All the drywall is out of the house except one of the bathrooms and the wall surrounding the old furnace (which we have already removed). Hubby tackled the floor yesterday to see how bad the soft spots were from the roof leak and it was worse than we thought. The ENTIRE house has white mold on the subfloor. At first, I was convinced it was glue from the laminate flooring but its on both sides of the subfloor - top and underneath. We *could* pull up each of the boards and clean both the top and underside and nail it back down but time is of the essence with our intended move by August 1st. Weve decided to get new subfloor instead. So much for the decent laminate flooring. Looks like well be living on 3/4 plywood for the next year UNLESS I can convince him of a penny floor in the kitchen! ;-) On the flip side: Electric is going in no later this weekend, possibly mid week and the septic goes in next week.
