All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely - TopicsExpress

All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant, Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms. Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel And shining morning face, creeping like snail Unwillingly to school. And then the lover, Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier, Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard, Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel, Seeking the bubble reputation Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice, In fair round belly with good capon lined, With eyes severe and beard of formal cut, Full of wise saws and modern instances; And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts Into the lean and slippered pantaloon, With spectacles on nose and pouch on side; His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice, Turning again toward childish treble, pipes And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all, That ends this strange eventful history, Is second childishness and mere oblivion, Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything. ~ William Shakespeare Who am I? That’s a hard question to answer. I am a daughter, a friend, a student, a love, a sister, a musician, an artist. But most importantly, I am me. I am in individual. None like any other. As a daughter I have many jobs; many roles to play. I have to keep up with my grades. I have to work hard for the things that I want. I am caring and compassionate towards my brother even when I want nothing more than to pummel him to a pulp. As a friend, I am there for the ones who need me. I am a shoulder to cry on,someone to go to when you need advice, and I will do everything that I can to help out and make things better. A true friend will drop everything that is important to them to help another. As a sister I love my siblings with everything that I have. Even though I may not like all of them I will always be there for them in times of trouble. I will be a safe haven. Just like a friend would be. As a student I have an obligation to represent my school with the best of my ability. I must be respectful, responsible, and ready at all times. As myself I combine all the roles I play into one. I am a unique individual with struggles and talents that not everyone knows about. I am not superhuman, though sometimes it seems that I am. I am just a person.
