All these news reports that talk about Adrian Peterson spanking his son are absurd. First of all, he did much more than spank his son. That poor kid had lacerations up and down both legs and his back. I dont think its wrong to spank a child. However, from a legal standpoint, you cant leave marks. I would say he left a ridiculous amount of marks on that child. And, I would have to say, there are other forms of punishment that, if done right, are just as effective as spanking. He should be jailed. However, he also needs extensive parenting classes that will focus on other means of punishment. Injuries like what that boy had should not come from someone who loves you.
