All things are possible if you believe Many questionable prophets and pastors have risen. As it is written, false prophets will come and deceive many, even the elect. Those who just believe without revelation will be deceived. Yet still, many servants of God who are called are out there are doing what they are assigned to do. Some will lay hands on the sick many times and see no results before they begin to see the results. People then begin to question all servants of God, whether they are called or not called. Some say these pastors that claim miracles have happened are lying. Some say these pastors have failed to heal the sick. Well, here is the news. The disciples failed to cast out a demon one time. Peter failed to heal his mother in law until Jesus came. Jesus said about the demon possessed boy, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting" Mark 9:29. The sons of sceva were beaten black and blue by a demon possessed person when they tried to cast the demons out. It is true that there are false pastors out there. But Ephesians 4:11 says "And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists and some pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." 1 Corinthians 12:28, "And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps administrations, varieties of tongues." The fact that the disciples failed to cast out a demon did not make them false apostles. But the fact that the sons of sceva were false ministers is also true. The disciples were in training. But yet, it is the Spirit of the Lord that works all these things through His servants. If one is healed praise God. If one is not healed even after laying of hands, praise God still. He is God and He knows why. Jesus gave the reason why the boy was not healed by disciples. Yet they had performed miracles where they were sent by Jesus. In all these things, Jesus says, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believe." Mark 9:23 Do not stop believing in the miracles of God simple because of the fact that some were not healed or because of the false prophets. Believe in God and believe also in Jesus, He said. If the father of the boy did not believe because of the disciples failure, they he would not have gone to Jesus and his boy would not have been delivered. One of the 9 gifts of the Spirit is that of discernment of spirits. Pray for that gift so you can discern. The bible says also, test the spirits. One thing you must never stop doing is believing in the work of the Holy Spirit that works through His servants. Do not be like the pharisees and saducees that said Jesus was doing miracles by beelzebub. They could not do miracles and therefore they rejected the miracles of Jesus. The one sin that can not be forgiven is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. All things are possible if you just believe. They may delay, but they will come to pass. Have a blessed day Carol Nkambule
